Worcester Crocodiles Youth League Water Polo team were crowned winners for the second year running recently. After winning the tile for the first time ever in 2018 the team retained their title in 2019, losing only one game. Both 2018 and 2019 titles were closely fought contests with Solihull and went down to the final games.
Worcester have grown in strength and numbers over the last few years. Under the guidance and brilliant coaching of David Cash and assistant coach Iain MacLeod the U16’s have proven to be a force to be reckoned with. One of the only regional clubs to have 3 players who have represented England (Charlotte Martin, Dan Day & George Glover) and 2 Players to represent Wales (George Jones & Toby Chilcott) all under the age of 16. “Its amazing” said David Cash, Head Coach “and testament to the effort both the players and their parents put in. A few years ago we were lucky to win a match so I’m immensely proud of the development of the team.” With 9 of the 2019 squad now too old to play the 2020 season will see a completely different team.
Full U16’s Team were - George Jones, George Glover, Charlotte Martin, Daniel Day, Toby Chilcott, Martin Koveckis, Nathan Lambert, Alfie Paton, Adrian Fok, John Nelson, Diego Camacho, Max Murray, Lewis Cribbin, Zoe Bloss, Elliott Sherlock & Jessica Day.
